Group 1 Software Names Tim King
Vice President of Postal Affairs
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF), a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM)-enabling software solutions, today announced that Timothy D. King has been promoted to vice president of postal affairs. Mr. King, a ten-year employee of Group 1 Software, served for over five years as the company's director of product management for postal affairs. In his new role, he will oversee product development, marketing and support of the company's direct marketing and postal applications. He will also serve as Group 1's liaison to the United States Postal Service (USPS), Canada Post Corporation (CPC), other international postal authorities and industry associations.
“As product manager for postal affairs, Tim King was instrumental in guiding the successful development, roll-out and support of Group 1's U.S. and Canadian direct marketing applications,” said Bob Bowen, CEO of Group 1 Software. “In his new role, Tim will help Group 1 extend its leadership position in the direct marketing and postal arena.”
Since joining Group 1, Mr. King has served in product management and technical support. Most recently, Tim served as director of product management for e-commerce, where he oversaw the development and management of Group 1's hosted services. Mr. King is a member of the board of directors of PostCom, the Association for Postal Commerce.
In his new role, Mr. King succeeds Victor Forman, who successfully guided Group 1's postal affairs over a number of years. Mr. Forman has announced his formation of a new consulting organization based in Tuscon, Arizona.
